Ping has recently introduced the all new G440 iron. The improvements are stunning. Who wouldn’t want a game improvement iron disguised in a sleek efficient design?
I have had customers tell me they came in for a game improvement iron and that they really aren’t good enough for a player’s iron when I hand them the G440 iron. I just laugh and say let’s just go ahead and give it a try. They are amazed.
The new iron does not look like the Pings of yesteryear, This is a great looking iron. You have to see them in person. They might not like me saying this, but they kind of sort of resemble a Mizuno style of iron.
Ping engineers have given us a game improvement distance iron with control. The thinner face and lower center of gravity is producing some really high ball flights in the fitting bay. Engineering for the win ,as somehow they gave us stiffer lofts, with no loss in height and the benefit of added distance. Add in the increased spin and now you have unbelievable stopping power on the greens.
Everybody always asks me when they should consider switching out certain products for the new ones. Listen, If money isn’t an issue, then you can and should do what you want to do. You know who you are. If you are a regular Joe, like me (want to maybe buy some eggs for breakfast once in a while), and still gaming our G410 or earlier irons, you should consider making the switch. That goes for the drivers and Fairway woods as well. There will be more on that later. I have a tee time this afternoon, so I gotta go. Have a great day.
