The result is the New Rogue ST iron line. The ST designation stands for “speed tuned”. With virtually 16 different iterations available within this line, they have something available for golfers of all skill levels. The secret sauce this year is Tungsten. They put a whole bunch of the dense metal in these heads. The tungsten is strategically placed to alter the center of gravity in the heads. This is done in a very specific fashion to allow them to manipulate the irons moment of inertia and work with the face in producing higher ball speeds and higher launch angles. You will be surprised to know that the lofts are actually a half degree WEAKER than the Mavrick line. That’s quite a departure from the industry trend.
The new 450 cup face design has also allowed for a lot more of the urethane microspheres to be added to the head on the Rogue ST iron.
